  • Work with the National Vice President of Supplier Partnerships to establish, implement, and own the end-to-end product category strategy in each district. This includes working with Category Management to develop business plans that support the required services, physical, logistical, capital expenditures, and inventory needs for each district of responsibility.
  • Help align with the National Vice President of Supplier Partnerships strategy to support the needs of the branches and regions to compete with local and national competition.
  • Develop a market-by-market comprehensive plan and implement that plan across the assigned districts.
  • Promote and launch an overarching marketing campaign per product category that has been developed with communication both internal and external to drive the business and improve category share.
  • Develop and build upon Crescent’s relationships with local manufacturer representatives in the field to help secure mutually beneficial and profitable business within the districts of responsibility.
  • Serve as a customer advocate to internal business partners and supplier partners.
  • Hold local teams accountable for improved product category performance by working with each Sales leader to establish and implement performance criteria and quotas for sales, margin, and inventory performance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Excellent work ethic, integrity, and competitive drive.
  • Demonstrated record of mutually profitable growth for the organization and supplier partners.
  • Ability to travel to branches, company training and vendor activities 20% of the time, which will require frequent overnight stays.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in medium and/or large electrical distribution or manufacturing companies.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Financial acumen, experience managing and delivering results from revenue and margin levers (rebate programs, growth incentives, co-op programs, market development funds, etc.).
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) with the ability to read computer monitors.
  • Most of the time sitting, using hands to finger or handle, and talking or hearing is required.
  • Familiarity with the construction and industrial markets and their related processes.
  • Ability to build authentic, productive, and positive long-term relationships (internal and external).
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence without authority.
