About the Role

The Logistics Material Handler is responsible for moving and cycle‑counting inventory throughout the building using a smart‑phone‑like device, a vehicle‑mounted PC, and material handling equipment such as forklifts or order pickers. Accurate inventory handling, adherence to safety standards, and meeting productivity targets are essential to the team’s success. Key duties include pick‑location replenishment, inbound stock put‑away, inventory cycle counting, and truck loading/unloading. The role requires completing forklift certification on all lift types, performing daily lift inspections, and executing daily 5S warehouse organization and cleaning tasks. Handlers must accurately complete inventory moves per WMS assignments, properly prep pallets, meet productivity rates, communicate barriers, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Perform pick location replenishment, inbound stock putaway, inventory cycle counting, and truck loading/unloading. • Complete forklift certification on all lift types and conduct daily lift inspections. • Execute daily 5S tasks for warehouse organization and cleaning. • Accurately move inventory per WMS assignments, ensuring correct quantity and location. • Prepare pallets for put-away and replenishment following standard work procedures. • Meet defined productivity rates for each material handling task. • Communicate any barriers to leads or supervisors promptly. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and submit employee suggestions. • Assist with order picking when needed. • Operate all motorized equipment and forklift types safely. • Follow verbal and written instructions from training leads, department leads, and supervisors.

Required skills include matching visual information on a smart‑phone device with product labels, basic math for inventory accuracy, and effective teamwork communication. Physical abilities include repeatedly lifting 10 lb (occasionally up to 60 lb), standing for 8‑10 hour shifts, and occasional bending and twisting. The successful applicant must be able to operate all motorized equipment and forklift types safely, follow verbal and written instructions, and be willing to work voluntary or mandatory overtime as business needs dictate. • Minimum one year of distribution center experience. • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to match visual information on a smartphone device with product labels. • Proficient in basic math (addition and multiplication) for inventory accuracy. • Capability to repeatedly lift 10 lb and occasionally lift up to 60 lb. • Ability to stand for 8‑10 hour shifts and perform occasional bending (90°) and twisting (45°). • Willingness to work voluntary or mandatory overtime as business dictates.
