Residential HVAC Installer - New Construction

About the Role

The installer will set the pace on the job site, guide install helpers, and ensure every system is installed safely, correctly, and to code. Responsibilities include reading job details, selecting proper equipment, installing furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and performing duct modifications, as well as conducting start‑ups, final checks, and homeowner walk‑throughs while maintaining a clean, safe site. • Read job details and select proper equipment, materials, and tools. • Install furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and perform duct modifications. • Lead and coach install assistants to improve skill level and productivity. • Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system operation. • Conduct start‑ups, final checks, and homeowner walk‑throughs. • Keep the job site clean, safe, and organized. • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams throughout the install. • Complete required documentation accurately and on time.

What You Bring

Custom Air and Plumbing is looking for a seasoned HVAC Installer who can own residential and light commercial installation projects from start to finish. This position is for someone who leads by example, knows how to run a job efficiently, and takes pride in delivering high-quality installs that last. Candidates must have at least four years of hands‑on residential HVAC installation experience, proven leadership and training ability, strong troubleshooting skills, an EPA certification, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and comfort working in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor conditions. A professional attitude and customer‑service mindset are essential. • Own residential HVAC installations, including replacements and new installs. • Possess 4+ years of residential HVAC installation experience. • Hold EPA certification and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and leadership skills. • Work comfortably in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor conditions. • Exhibit a professional attitude and strong customer‑service mindset.
