About the Role

The Rail Sector Lead is a senior, Director‑level role responsible for driving growth and reputation in the rail sector across the Middle East. The position defines and executes regional business strategy, generates new business, strengthens market proposition, and builds high‑performing teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. • Define and execute regional rail strategy to secure new business and cross‑sell services. • Oversee current rail commissions, ensuring performance excellence. • Identify and build strategic alliances to expand market reach in the Middle East. • Influence board‑level clients and engage regulators and government bodies. • Shape rail service offering with thought leadership and lead annual strategic planning. • Plan and coordinate national industry conferences and events. • Lead business development initiatives, guiding field offices and acting as capture lead on key pursuits. • Prioritise key accounts, develop pursuit strategies, and promote the brand through articles and presentations. • Oversee team recruitment, resource planning, competency development, and mentoring. • Manage large‑scale rail projects to deliver on time, on budget, and to high‑quality standards. • Implement quality‑control processes and monitor financial performance with reports and forecasts. • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with industry standards. • Lead and inspire the rail team, represent the firm to clients, and foster trust and confidence. • Collaborate across national and regional initiatives and lead sector working groups. • Develop succession plans, nurture talent, and contribute to business boards.

What You Bring

• Hold a degree in Civil or Transport Engineering and relevant certifications (PMP, PE, CCP). • Demonstrate extensive rail infrastructure and tunnel construction project‑management experience. • Exhibit strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills. • Proficient in project controls, cost, schedule, and quality monitoring tools.
