About the Role

The primary responsibility is to safely operate a heavy‑duty truck on assigned transfer routes. Drivers must adhere to all safety and regulatory standards while ensuring their vehicle remains clean and safe. • Operate the truck in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all federal, state, and local regulations while keeping the vehicle clean and safe. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using a Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) and document any issues. • Immediately report unsafe conditions or service calls to the Operations Manager or Dispatch before proceeding. • Participate in all required training, briefings, and meetings as directed by the Operations Manager. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Follow scheduled duties, assist other drivers as needed, and complete all assigned tasks. • Notify the Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. • Report route issues such as blocked containers, missed pick‑ups, or other problems per Service Machine protocol. • Communicate customer requests or concerns to Dispatch or the Operations Manager. • Fully dump containers and ensure the customer site is left clean and free of debris. • Submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal and position containers properly with lids secured and upright, avoiding obstruction of driveways or traffic. • Complete route assignments and submit all required documentation at the end of the day.

What You Bring

This role has no supervisory duties. Candidates are not required to have prior education or work experience, but must hold a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B, be at least 18 years old, and possess an acceptable driving record. Applicants must successfully complete a pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and motor‑vehicle‑record review. The position may require travel by air to access federal property, so candidates must have a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative, or be willing to obtain one.
