About the Role

This role offers an opportunity to join AECOM's Energy team and support advanced information management (IM) needs for major infrastructure programmes. Candidates may work within the central Digital Energy Team or one of the three practice areas—Nuclear, Transmission & Distribution, and R&D—while also holding senior project information or BIM management positions on large‑scale projects such as the National Grid Great Grid Upgrade. Successful applicants will lead the definition and implementation of ISO 19650 information management frameworks, interface with senior client and digital delivery teams, and establish governance processes for digital information delivery. They will also represent AECOM at stakeholder meetings and industry forums, driving digital transformation and setting new standards for delivery excellence. • Lead definition and implementation of ISO 19650 information management frameworks across major programmes. • Interface directly with senior client stakeholders and digital delivery teams to align strategic objectives. • Establish quality management systems and governance processes for digital information delivery. • Represent AECOM at senior stakeholder meetings and industry forums as a thought leader. • Develop and manage ISO 19650 documentation suite (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP, etc.). • Configure and manage Common Data Environment (CDE) systems ensuring compliance and proper information exchange. • Support Information Managers in CDE configuration and alignment with exchange processes. • Ensure adoption and compliant use of project CDE systems across all elements. • Define BIM Execution Plans and collaborate with GIS and BIM specialists to meet EIR requirements. • Manage Master Information Delivery Plans according to framework requirements. • Assess delivery team capacity and capability for information delivery. • Oversee information delivery assurance against agreed acceptance criteria. • Implement BIM and digital delivery processes including 3D/4D/5D integration and data management. • Lead assessment and implementation of digital tools supporting Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). • Verify BIM/digital delivery capabilities for engineering, consenting, and construction processes. • Define and implement digital integration of data, systems, and processes across teams. • Participate in development and customization of software tools, including CAD‑GIS integration. • Support integration of immersive visualization, 3D reality capture, and VR/AR technologies. • Provide technical support for BIM software, digital engineering technologies, and 3D graphics applications. • Establish training programmes and communication materials to ensure consistent delivery standards. • Identify and develop new business opportunities within digital information management and BIM services. • Lead proposal development for digital delivery components of major infrastructure bids. • Drive innovation initiatives and R&D activities to maintain AECOM's competitive advantage. • Leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams in complex programme environments.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in information management on major infrastructure programmes, a degree in engineering, architecture or a related discipline, and proven expertise with ISO 19650, BIM, GIS integration, and Common Data Environment platforms. Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and a track record of driving digital transformation are essential. Employment is conditional on meeting UK security clearance requirements.
