About the Role

You will integrate various tools and technologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency, manage and maintain AWS workspace configurations, and enhance their capabilities and usability. You are expected to support AWS workspaces independently, lead the development of work products and technical capabilities, and perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting as issues arise. • Streamline workflows by integrating diverse tools and technologies. • Manage, maintain, and enhance AWS Workspace configurations and usability. • Perform independent support, regular maintenance, and troubleshooting of AWS Workspaces. • Lead development of technical capabilities and work products for the environment. • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform for provisioning. • Design, deploy, and sustain enterprise‑level AWS Workspaces with external identity/auth services. • Automate and harden Linux and Windows images to meet security standards. • (Desired) Apply DevOps security best practices and Agile development methods.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking a talented AWS Workspace Administrator to join our team. In this role you will bridge development and operations, managing AWS workspace services that support users and applications while collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders. The position supports remote work, with occasional onsite attendance for customer‑facing meetings in Columbia, MD. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience, and at least six years of experience as an AWS Workspace Administrator. A Security+ certification is mandatory, and you must be proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools for workspace provisioning. Experience designing, executing, and sustaining enterprise‑level AWS workspaces using both external identity/authentication services and native AWS services is essential, as is deep knowledge of Linux and Windows deployments and the ability to automate and harden images with tools such as Ansible and Terraform. Desired qualifications include knowledge of security best practices for DevOps, experience with Agile development methodologies, and certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or AWS DevOps Engineer. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, a fast‑paced flexible work style, and the initiative to quickly learn new tools and concepts are also valued. • Hold an active Top Secret clearance and a Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field. • Bring at least 6 years of AWS Workspace Administrator experience. • Possess a Security+ certification (non‑substitutable). • Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and fast‑paced adaptability. • (Desired) Hold AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer certification.
