About the Role

The position demands oversight of complex building projects across health, education, defence, transport, commercial, aviation, sports and data‑centre markets, ensuring designs meet Australian codes and standards while fostering innovation and high‑quality documentation. • Lead delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary building projects across health, education, defence, transport, commercial, aviation, sports and data‑centre sectors in Australia. • Provide technical leadership and governance for electrical building services design, ensuring compliance with Australian codes, standards and best‑practice engineering principles. • Review design calculations, specifications, models and documentation to drive innovation, quality and coordinated outcomes. • Build and maintain trusted client relationships, support business development and secure a pipeline of high‑profile projects. • Strengthen AECOM’s Building Services capability in ANZ by contributing to strategy, team growth and capability development.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with roughly fifteen years of consultancy experience, be chartered with Engineers Australia (CPEng) or hold equivalent registration, and demonstrate deep knowledge of local codes, strong communication, and proven project‑commercial management skills; Australian citizenship and defence security clearance are highly preferred. • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with ~15 + years of consultancy experience delivering complex building services projects. • Chartered status with Engineers Australia (CPEng) or equivalent registration, eligible for state professional registration. • Deep technical expertise in discipline‑related design and extensive knowledge of Australian codes, standards and regulations. • Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills with ability to engage clients, contractors, consultants and senior project teams. • Proven track record in project and commercial management, leading multi‑disciplinary teams on high‑profile, technically challenging projects. • Australian citizenship and eligibility for Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or Negative Vetting 1 preferred).
