About the Role

This is a 100 % travel position. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating wired, wireless, fiber‑optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment, climbing towers and ladders, erecting various tower types, off‑loading material, preparing sites, and installing new carriers on both new builds and existing structures. You will also assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles, assemble monopoles and other tower configurations, install antennas and transmission lines, perform foundation, grounding, and conduit work, and serve as a mentor to less‑experienced technicians while adhering to MasTec’s health, safety, and environmental policies and industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber‑optic, and microwave telecom equipment. • Climb towers and ladders, and conduct erection of various tower types. • Off‑load material, prepare sites, and install carriers on new builds and existing towers. • Assist tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles; assemble monopoles and other tower configurations. • Install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas and associated transmission lines. • Perform foundation, grounding, conduit, and electrical installations as required. • Mentor less‑experienced technicians on safety and technical procedures. • Follow MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI).

What You Bring

Qualified candidates have a high‑school diploma, at least four years of tower experience, the ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, read and follow printed instructions, hold a valid driver’s license, and possess working knowledge of safety regulations; a PWSA certification is a plus. • Require at least 4 years tower experience, high‑school diploma, ability to lift 50 lb, climb towers, work up to 12 hours, and a valid driver’s license; PWSA certification preferred.
