Transfer Station Spotter

About the Role

The Spotter safely directs vehicle drivers to the proper areas at landfills, transfer stations, or recycling centers based on the site fill plan, ensuring publicly posted safety rules are followed. The role also inspects incoming loads for unacceptable waste, removing items such as tires and batteries before disposal. Additionally, the Spotter may perform general labor duties, including site clean‑up, yard work, and building maintenance as needed. Key responsibilities include following all company safety policies, making eye contact with drivers to confirm signals, and wearing personal protective equipment at all times. The Spotter enforces both posted and unposted safety standards, directs vehicles in various weather conditions, inspects loads for prohibited materials, and communicates special‑waste requirements to equipment operators. Daily closing tasks are completed, and general labor duties are performed on an as‑needed basis. • Environmentally Responsible – take action to improve the environment

What You Bring
