About the Role

The role is a driver/operator position that safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on assigned transfer routes, performing the duties outlined by the Operations Manager and Dispatch. Drivers must operate the vehicle in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations, keep the truck clean and safe, and complete pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). They are required to report unsafe situations, incidents, or service calls immediately, participate in scheduled training, and work closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address problem accounts. The position involves assisting other company drivers as needed, notifying management of accidents or property damage, communicating customer requests to dispatch, fully dumping containers and leaving sites clean, completing customer tickets for excess yardage, and positioning containers properly on customer property. Drivers must follow assigned routes throughout the day and submit all required documentation at the end of each route. • Operate heavy‑duty truck safely on transfer routes. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip DVIR inspections and note issues. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and service calls immediately. • Participate in all required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency. • Assist fellow drivers as directed by Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Communicate customer requests and issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Dump containers completely and leave customer sites clean and debris‑free. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal. • Position containers correctly on customer property to avoid blockages. • Follow daily route assignments and finalize documentation at route end. • Maintain a valid CDL Class B, pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background checks.
