About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role also requires ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards, complying with all company, state, and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects promptly. Key duties include conducting thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, reading route sheets, and delivering service to each customer as assigned. Operators must lift and load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at designated facilities while monitoring waste for unacceptable items and tagging unsatisfactory containers. Drivers interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and promptly clean accidental waste spills according to safety policies. They also complete required route, productivity, and VCR paperwork, adhere to productivity standards, follow all safety procedures, and actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
