About the Role

The Audio‑Visual Labor Helper provides labor support for the installation, maintenance, and operation of AV/IT equipment. The role assists Audio‑Visual Technicians by handling physical tasks such as moving and setting up equipment, preparing work areas, and performing basic wiring under supervision. This position ensures efficient setup for meetings, presentations, and events while adhering to safety guidelines. • Load, unload, and transport audio‑visual equipment and materials to and from work sites. • Prepare work areas by setting up cables, mounts, and protective coverings for AV/IT installations. • Assist Audio‑Visual Technicians with installation, testing, repair, providing tools, lifting, and positioning equipment. • Clean and maintain AV/IT equipment and storage areas. • Follow safety guidelines to prevent equipment damage and personal injury. • Perform routine tasks such as cable pulling, mounting support, and basic wiring under supervision. • Support equipment and furniture disposition, including painting, wall repair, and assembly/disassembly. • Communicate progress to managers, adhere to contract requirements, and comply with company policies. • Work collaboratively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent GED. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Ability to obtain a secret clearance within 120 days of hire. • U.S. citizenship. • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays. • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks in confined or elevated spaces. • Pass pre‑employment background check and pre‑hire drug test. • Familiarity with audio‑visual systems (preferred). • Extron AV Associate certification (preferred).
