About the Role

The role involves participating in project‑wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and design documents, and then defining test strategies, detailed test plans, specifications, test cases, scripts, and data sets to validate functional and performance requirements. You will design and implement robust, scalable test automation suites within a continuous integration and deployment environment, execute black, gray, and white‑box tests on system components and APIs, and develop automated tests primarily using Python, with shell scripting or C++ as needed. Responsibilities also include defining load‑testing strategies, identifying process and tool improvements, debugging issues, communicating technical concepts to stakeholders, and validating customer product releases on schedule. • Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and data sets for embedded and application software. • Design and maintain scalable test automation suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines. • Perform black‑box, gray‑box, and white‑box testing on system components and APIs. • Develop automated tests using Python; employ shell scripting and C++ when required. • Create load and performance testing approaches for embedded platforms. • Identify and implement improvements in testing processes, tools, and methodologies. • Communicate technical findings effectively to team members and stakeholders. • Validate customer product releases to meet target schedules. • Participate in cross‑functional reviews of requirements, architecture, and design documentation.

This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune. If you desire to be part of something special, to join a winning and fun team, this role offers the opportunity to work as a QA Engineer defining test strategy and developing test plans for embedded and application software used in demand response solutions for the electrical power distribution industry. We seek motivated professionals with strong automation testing skills who can verify and validate next‑generation technology that changes how users connect, explore, and interact with devices. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering is required, with a master's degree preferred. Candidates must have at least four years of embedded device testing experience, four‑plus years in software development or test‑tool development, and two or more years of Python or other scripting experience, plus intermediate skills in languages such as C++, Lua, Java, or C#. Experience with Linux/RTOS, Windows applications, automation frameworks like Pytest or Robot, network protocols, Agile Scrum, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Azure DevOps), data‑driven and performance testing, and a proven track record of delivering high‑quality embedded software products is essential. • Debug issues through coding and analytical techniques. • Hold a bachelor's (master's preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering. • Bring 4+ years of embedded device testing and software development/test‑tool experience, with proficiency in Python, C++, and other scripting languages.
