About the Role

• Perform end-to-end hydraulic and hydrological modelling for surface water and stormwater systems. • Collaborate with design engineers and peers in India and Australia; report to Head of Department, India. • Utilize TUFLOW as the primary modelling platform and apply Australian flood-modelling standards. • Conduct dam-break modelling following ANCOLD guidelines. • Apply additional software tools such as HEC‑RAS, XPSTORM, DRAINS, ICM, RORB, GIS, and AutoCAD. • Work within WSP’s hybrid working model while adhering to health, safety, and wellbeing standards.

What You Bring

The role is aimed at an emerging technical professional in Surface Water Modelling, responsible for delivering end‑to‑end hydraulic and hydrological modelling, including stormwater management. You will work closely with design engineers and peer groups across India and Australia, reporting directly to the Head of Department in India. This position offers exposure to complex, international water‑related projects. A hands‑on mastery of TUFLOW is essential, as it will be the primary tool for flood‑modelling tasks. Prior experience with Australian flood‑modelling projects is highly advantageous, requiring familiarity with local industry standards, modelling practices, and regulatory frameworks. Experience in dam‑break modelling according to ANCOLD guidelines is also desirable. Additional proficiency in software such as HEC‑RAS, XPSTORM, DRAINS, ICM, RORB, as well as GIS tools and AutoCAD, will be preferred. The ideal candidate is a motivated early‑career professional who has contributed to international projects, especially Australian flood‑modelling assignments utilizing TUFLOW. A strong interest in developing expertise within a global engineering consultancy is essential. • Leverage experience from international projects, particularly Australian flood-modelling assignments.
