About the Role

WSP is seeking a Senior Vice President to serve as the Orange County/Southern California Local Business Line Leader (LBL) within the Transportation Business Line. The role will collaborate closely with teams in Irvine, Inland Empire, and Los Angeles, providing strategic leadership for the California Region's transportation and infrastructure practice. The LBL will focus on public agencies such as Caltrans, Metrolink, Orange County Transportation Authority, and regional bodies across Southern California while partnering with the Los Angeles Local Business Leader to drive business development, client engagement, and support a robust technical team. Key responsibilities include maintaining an elevated external presence, overseeing operational performance, deploying resources to meet business objectives, and shaping marketing and growth strategies for transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, transit, rail, tolling, aviation, and multimodal solutions. • Drive performance and market share of the transportation business, positioning WSP as the preferred advisor. • Manage local client coordination, cross‑selling, and represent the Transportation line at civic and industry events. • Leverage WSP’s full suite of services and subject‑matter experts to deliver innovative client solutions. • Partner with the California Region Business Leader to shape vision, culture, talent development, and client engagement strategy. • Recruit, mentor, and develop high‑performing, diverse teams across Southern California offices. • Lead design, implementation, and administration of engineering and technical project programs district‑wide. • Optimize client and employee experience through regular reviews and process improvement initiatives. • Develop local growth forecasts and business development strategies in collaboration with district, region, and national leaders. • Resolve internal and external conflicts, oversee overhead expenditures, and monitor KPIs such as sales, EBITDA, staffing, utilization, and inclusion. • Advance technical expertise, foster innovation, and promote professional development of local staff.

What You Bring

• Possess 15+ years of A/E/C experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, business, or related field, and strong transportation client relationships. • Demonstrate leadership, strategic thinking, business acumen, and commitment to safety and ethical conduct. • Travel between Southern California offices (Irvine, Riverside, Los Angeles) as required.
