About the Role

Step Into Leadership – Hiring Assistant Service Manager to Help Drive Service Excellence. We are seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager with a “Whatever It Takes” approach to join our team. In this full‑time role you will ensure the community’s physical aspects meet company standards and applicable laws. You will manage, develop and mentor a maintenance team, oversee troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures and appliance repairs, and be accountable for on‑call and preventive‑maintenance scheduling. You will also maintain inventory, conduct regular building inspections, and complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager. • Mentor and develop maintenance team in diagnosing and repairing issues. • Provide expert troubleshooting for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances. • Create and maintain a 24‑hour on‑call schedule, remaining available for emergencies. • Manage inventory of maintenance materials. • Establish preventive‑maintenance, make‑ready, and work‑order schedules. • Conduct regular inspections of community buildings and vacant units. • Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle, live within a 30‑minute commute, and possess HVAC/EPA/CFC certification or equivalent education and 2‑4 years of related experience. • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required. • Live within a 30‑minute commute of the properties. • HVAC/EPA/CFC certification preferred. • One‑year certificate or 2‑4 years related experience (or equivalent).
