About the Role
The Lead Technical Trainer at Viega Experience Center (VEC) manages daily operations, customer education, and events to provide a seamless and impactful experience for a diverse audience that includes owners, engineers, contractors, distributors, installers, and trade students. In this role the trainer leads educational activities, oversees facility management, coordinates tours and events, collaborates with sales teams and external vendors, and maintains training equipment and displays while traveling up to 20% of the time. • Conduct on‑site tours and customize training sessions for various customer groups. • Facilitate hands‑on activities, learning displays, online job aids, and PowerPoint presentations. • Manage post‑training customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and follow‑up support. • Oversee facility operations, including inventory of training materials, tools, and equipment. • Design and construct piping displays for training and promotional purposes. • Report facility utilization metrics and develop new methods to increase engagement. • Serve as backup trainer for other Viega centers, trade shows, and travel events. • Support local sales teams with special events and coordinate with external vendors to meet quality standards. • Assist with classroom preparation, setup, and cleanup. • Travel up to 20% of the time to support various training and event locations. • Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to develop effective solutions quickly.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least five to seven years of relevant industry experience, strong presentation and instructional abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; bilingual abilities in French‑Canadian or Spanish are a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a bachelor’s degree or trade school completion preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered. • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Viega systems and propose solutions to client challenges. • Possess 5‑7 years of industry experience (plumbing, pipefitting, HVAC) and prior training or showroom experience. • Exhibit strong presentation, public speaking, and instructional skills for adult learners. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. • Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and listening communication abilities. • Bilingual proficiency in French‑Canadian or Spanish is preferred.

Benefits
The position offers a base salary ranging from $97,000 to $132,000, a discretionary annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a company‑contributed HSA, voluntary life and disability options, a 401(k) with a 7.5% match, 22 days of paid time off, nine company holidays, and two volunteer days.
