About the Role

The specialist will own a portfolio of ongoing regulatory matters and lead stakeholder engagement. They will work with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues, manage and review reports, develop internal processes, coordinate audits and education sessions, organize groups to meet compliance obligations, and monitor directives from the provincial regulator. Personal safety and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety rules are also required. • Manage ongoing regulatory matters and stakeholder engagement. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve portfolio issues. • Prepare, review and oversee regulatory reports, audits and internal education sessions. • Develop and implement internal processes to meet compliance obligations. • Monitor and execute directives from the provincial regulator. • Ensure personal and coworker safety in accordance with OH&S regulations. • Build effective working relationships across utility business units. • Participate in short‑term incentive plans and a defined contribution pension plan. • Engage in community initiatives, employee resource groups and mentorship opportunities.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting or engineering, and have at least five years of experience in a business, audit, legal or regulatory environment. The role demands strong attention to detail, excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build relationships across the utility, and competence in managing groups and applying general business principles. Experience in a regulated setting is an asset. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or engineering. • Possess at least 5 years of experience in business, audit, legal or regulatory roles. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and advanced analytical, written and oral communication skills. • Manage groups and apply general business principles; regulated‑environment experience preferred.
