About the Role

• Evaluate and oversee the design team and coordinate design activities for heavy commuter rail system and tunnelling. • Manage the design process, including project planning, concept development, detailed design, and design reviews. • Ensure design deliverables meet project requirements, client expectations, and relevant standards. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to integrate design elements and solve technical challenges. • Review design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for accuracy, quality, and compliance. • Support value engineering, design optimisation, and innovation in design solutions. • Coordinate with construction teams to ensure a seamless transition from design to construction.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). • Maintain a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. • Bring extensive design‑management experience on large tunnelling or underground construction projects. • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bentley suites. • Demonstrate strong project‑management skills to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources. • Exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities. • Possess experience with Federal Transit Agency projects and familiarity with agencies such as PANYNJ, NJT, MTA, LIRR, and Amtrak. • Experience delivering programs or portfolios valued over $1 billion is a significant advantage.

Benefits
