About the Role

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The position may involve training on several areas or machines within the facility. Work hours are first shift, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and the role is part of a union (PCORE) workforce with a rate of $25.64 per hour. Under direct supervision, the operator performs tasks such as assembling POC and PRC bushings, coating PRC studs, winding cores, cutting foils, and cleaning and packing bushing products. Additional duties include any other tasks needed to produce all bushing products and to maintain a safe, clean, and productive facility. Operation of the POC and PRC processes is not required for this position. • Operate production machinery following established procedures. • Assemble POC and PRC bushings and related components. • Cut foils, clean, and pack bushing products. • Perform additional tasks to maintain a safe, clean, and productive facility. • Read and interpret work instructions, safety procedures, JSAs, and technical prints. • Use measurement tools and read machine gauges or display readings. • Meet physical demands: lift 50 lb floor‑to‑waist, lift 30 lb at height, stand or sit for eight hours, work off platforms, navigate stairs and ramps.

What You Bring

Success in this role requires the ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, job safety analyses (JSAs), and technical prints. The operator must be proficient with basic measurement tools such as a ruler or tape measure and be able to interpret machine gauges or display readings. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The job demands the ability to sit or stand for at least eight hours, walk, hear, see, and use both hands fully, as well as lift 50 lb from floor to waist and 30 lb a short distance at a height of four feet. The employee must also be capable of working off platforms, and navigating stairs and ramps. • Coat PRC studs and wind cores. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
