About the Role

• Learn and shadow Operational Technology (OT) projects focused on control systems such as Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Outage Management Systems (OMS), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) in support of the current Electric Transmission and Distribution grid operations in North America • Perform SCADA data entry, and data evaluation • Support the preparation of reports, plans, presentations, and/or specifications for client • Support various project tasks including OT requirements gathering, business process reviews

What You Bring

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 • Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills • TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Electrical Engineering/Computer Science Interns for our Summer 2026 intern program out of our Chicago, IL Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2026 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) • Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field • Self-motivated, detail orientated person • Must be at least 18 years old • Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCAD, Mathcad, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, Esri ArcGIS) is preferred but not required
