About the Role
The role involves inspecting and overseeing construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety, and quality standards. The inspector will serve as the daily point of contact for clients and contractors, managing observations, material testing, and documentation. • Measure distances to verify dimensions of structural installations. • Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations. • Observe work in progress to ensure procedures and materials conform to specifications. • Prepare material samples for laboratory testing. • Examine finished installations for workmanship conformity and approve them. • Interpret plans and specifications, discuss deviations with contractors to ensure compliance. • Record material quantities, develop pay estimates and change orders. • Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports. • Monitor various work activities as assigned. • Enforce construction safety practices and compliance. • Manage project documents using electronic platforms (e.g., AASHTOWare, e-Builder, Transport). • Participate in wellness programs, parental leave, and pet insurance benefits. • Take part in a tax‑deferred 401(k) plan with competitive matching.
