About the Role
Key duties involve storing, loading, unloading, and moving a variety of materials from bins, pallets, racks, and vehicles, often using manual or mechanical devices. The worker opens containers with hand tools, operates cranes or hoists, and follows production, work, or shipping orders to determine handling tasks. Materials are sorted, labeled, counted, and recorded on daily sheets, while requisition and work orders are completed as needed. Additional tasks include assembling bundles, constructing crates, clamping conveyor sections, performing simple equipment adjustments, and maintaining a clean work area in accordance with safety and hazardous‑waste guidelines. • Distribute and receive tools, welding wire, and consumables; maintain inventory logs. • Repair and order tools and consumables as needed. • Load, unload, store, and move materials using manual or mechanical equipment. • Open containers with hand tools and operate cranes, hoists, or hand‑operated lifts. • Read production, work, and shipping orders to determine material handling tasks. • Sort, label, count, and record materials; fill requisitions and work orders. • Assemble and band bundles, construct crates, and clamp conveyor sections. • Perform simple equipment adjustments and repairs using hand tools. • Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow hazardous waste and safety guidelines. • Follow precise accuracy standards, plan work, and select proper tools. • Visualize objects from plans, compare dimensions, and make decisions based on measurable criteria. • Report unsafe conditions; perform only tasks for which trained/authorized.

What You Bring
The role requires familiarity with tools and consumables, including the ability to distribute and receive tools, welding wire, and other supplies. Candidates should have at least a high‑school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a related field, possessing a solid understanding of common industry concepts and procedures. The position relies on clear instructions and established guidelines, with work performed under direct supervision and limited independent judgment. Job requirements emphasize precise accuracy, proper tool selection, ability to visualize objects from plans, and reporting of unsafe conditions. • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, pushing/pulling 70 ft‑lb, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
