Business Analyst I

About the Role
• Serve as SME for department systems and oversee system integration and implementation projects. • Reconcile financial accounts and reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly. • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses, addressing any issues. • Manage the accrual and journal entry processes, debit/credit memos, and maintain accurate logs. • Approve and release invoices according to accounting procedures and Finance Manager directives. • Review vendor files and supporting documentation for payments. • Communicate with construction and professional services vendors as needed. • Assist in analyzing general contractor payment submissions. • Collaborate with the accounting team and other departments on bond‑related matters. • Ensure bond compliance with financial accounting, reporting, and invoice payments. • Complete bond‑related assignments as assigned by management. • Create and analyze monthly financial reports. • Lead projects to successful conclusions.

What You Bring
• Possess 3‑5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline. • Experience with enterprise or accounting systems. • Ability to perform historical trend analysis and interpret results. • Work independently and effectively within a team. • Thrive in fast‑paced environments. • Communicate and present effectively at all organizational levels. • Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Preferred: bond program experience. • Preferred: construction program experience. • Preferred: experience with Costpoint and/or Proliance.
