About the Role
The Technical Director will lead the development of the Aviation Advisory business across the UK, Europe, and India, driving pipeline growth and expanding the team. Based in any UK AECOM office, the role involves creating winning proposals and delivering advisory projects for airport owners, contractors, governments, and regulators. • Grow pipeline by leveraging existing network and securing new advisory projects. • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of up to five professionals. • Shape business strategy, define target markets, and set annual P&L targets. • Deliver consultancy services including master planning, capacity analysis, and sustainability advice. • Advise clients with expert technical and business analysis across aviation projects. • Ensure high‑quality deliverables before client presentation. • Collaborate with Europe and India aviation teams to share expertise and resources.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong industry network who can position AECOM as a trusted advisor. They will understand the firm’s services, develop a market‑focused advisory portfolio, and leverage expertise in areas such as ORAT or other specialist advisory skills. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and membership in a recognised professional institution, as well as technical experience in airport planning, design, engineering or construction. The candidate must have proven project management, business development, international exposure, team‑leadership, and advisory experience within the aviation sector.
