About the Role
The role focuses on developing and training Quality Team Leaders (QTLs), operators, manufacturing workers, and production leaders through positive leadership practices that motivate and grow employees. It reinforces a quality and continuous improvement culture by implementing measures to enhance production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency. The incumbent ensures all team members understand and follow the AAON Quality Management System. Key responsibilities include conducting computer‑based documentation and quality training, tracking and reporting completed QTL and production lead training, and teaching team members machine safety, tool use, assembly best practices, first‑article inspection, and required paperwork. The employee performs audits of assembly processes and finished products to verify compliance with quality procedures and work instructions, enforces proper personal protective equipment usage, and coaches QTLs and Production Leaders in problem solving, Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement methods. Recruiting potential leadership candidates for QTL and Production Lead positions and collaborating with other departments to create and improve production processes and quality metrics are also essential duties. The role ensures AAON meets all company quality standards for on‑time production within design specifications. • Develop and train QTLs, operators, and production staff using positive leadership. • Implement continuous improvement measures to boost production methods, equipment performance, and efficiency. • Conduct audits of assembly processes and finished products to ensure compliance with quality procedures. • Train team members on machine safety, tool usage, PPE, and documentation requirements. • Coach QTLs and Production Leaders in Lean, 6S, problem solving, and continuous improvement. • Recruit and identify potential leadership candidates for QTL and Production Lead roles. • Track and report completed QTL/Production Lead training. • Collaborate with other departments to create and improve production processes and quality metrics. • Maintain and update documentation and procedures affecting product quality. • Ensure AAON meets quality standards for on‑time production within design specifications.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of required Certified QTL classes, and competent keyboarding and computer skills, with MS Office proficiency a plus. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of manufacturing procedures, strong verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and keen attention to detail. Physical requirements involve standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, navigating stairs unassisted, and lifting up to 50 lb in an industrial environment.
