About the Role

This role is part of the Accounting and Finance division, which manages daily cash flows, analyzes assets and liabilities, and supports planning for future growth. It is a temporary position expected to last at least three months, with the possibility of extension. • Leverage advanced accounting tools and software to provide insightful financial analysis. • Prepare, analyze, and reconcile account balances to support financial statements. • Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate revenue reporting. • Assist in the financial statement closing process. • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop and implement solutions. • Assist in financial and internal control audits, including preparing audit schedules. • Prepare department financials and other reports as requested by management. • Own all revenue recognition processes, ensuring accurate and timely monthly entries. • Provide support on special projects as needed.

What You Bring

ConstructConnect is seeking an experienced and innovative Staff Accountant to join a collaborative Accounting & Finance team. The role involves driving process improvements, contributing to cross‑functional projects, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting throughout month‑end close. The position requires frequent sitting, telephone communication, and extended computer use, with visual acuity needed for close‑up work. Employees must maintain an ergonomically appropriate remote workspace and live within commuting distance of the Greater Cincinnati office, working on‑site Tuesdays and Wednesdays and full‑time during month/quarter‑close weeks. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, or at least one year of public or private accounting experience. • Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles; advanced Microsoft Office skills; analytical, detail‑oriented, multitasking, and strong communication abilities. • Demonstrated commitment to improving technical skills, particularly Microsoft 365 products. • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus. • Progress towards CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
