About the Role

• Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize Direct Digital Control building automation systems. • Serve as local technical contact and provide solutions for complex system issues. • Deliver turnkey projects on medium to large scale, ensuring proper operation of controls, sensors, and software. • Load software and configure trends, alarms, and reports. • Manage time effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and document project status. • Provide site-specific training to owners and operators on system operation.

What You Bring

The Senior Field Engineer role is critical to ALC’s business, focusing on field commissioning of custom building automation systems. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and customer‑focused, capable of solving increasingly complex problems and mentoring less‑experienced field engineers. • Hold a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of building automation, HVAC, or field experience. • Able to climb ladders over 8 ft, lift items up to 50 lb, and possess a valid driver’s license. • Willing to travel up to 35 % of the time. • Possess a degree, associate, or technical certification in HVAC, controls, or related field (preferred). • Experience with building automation software such as WebCTRL and complex control installations. • Basic knowledge of navigating various building automation systems. • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP and wireless networks. • Skilled at communicating technical information to non‑technical audiences. • Strong teamwork and communication abilities. • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
