About the Role
Function as an Apprentice Electrician under a certified or licensed Electrician for Bergelectric Corp., assisting with installing new electrical systems and repairing existing ones while maintaining compliance with national, state, and local codes and company policies. The role supports commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential project locations and is considered a safety-sensitive position. Apprentices are expected to follow all Bergelectric safety policies, demonstrate professionalism with colleagues, customers, and vendors, and communicate effectively with foremen and crew members. They must also adhere to workflow schedules to meet productivity objectives. The position involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, pulling wire and conduit, and working in a 25 lb tool belt while standing for long periods. Work is performed in various weather conditions and high-noise environments. • Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems. • Use hand and power tools under supervision. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wiring, conduit, and raceway systems. • Work on control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, switchgear, receptacles, and switches. • Splice and terminate wires at junction points. • Clean, gather, and transport materials on construction sites. • Follow workflow schedules to meet productivity goals. • Maintain professionalism with colleagues, customers, and vendors. • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

What You Bring
• Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members. • Enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program. • Knowledge of electrical theory, basic and specialty circuits. • Understanding of magnetic induction, three-phase transformers, conductors, and wiring methods. • Ability to read electrical single-line blueprints. • Familiarity with operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. • Basic tool knowledge and safe usage practices.
