About the Role
The position provides design engineering services for turnkey projects, offering guidance to teams of designers and discipline‑specific engineers to create complete electrical and civil designs. Responsibilities include leading medium/high voltage designs for substations and MV power distribution, participating in site walk‑downs to develop proposals, and preparing engineering estimates, scopes of work, and technical document reviews. The LDE develops comprehensive drawing packages that cover equipment specifications, single‑line and three‑line diagrams, schematics, wiring, interconnection, general arrangement, conduit/cable plans, grounding, AC/DC control power, SCADA and communication designs, testing procedures, commissioning plans, and required power engineering calculations. • Lead medium/high voltage designs for substations and MV power distribution • Participate in site walk‑downs to develop proposals for new work • Develop engineering estimates, scope, budget, and review technical documents • Maintain schedule and budget • Mentor and collaborate with other engineers on the team • Execute turnkey projects

What You Bring
Basic qualifications are a BS in engineering with at least seven years of electrical engineering/design experience, or an AS with ten years, or equivalent experience of twelve years without a degree. Candidates must reside in PA, OH, NY, NJ, IL, MO, MI, MD, DE, or IN; relocation is not considered. No immigration sponsorship is provided. Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is required. Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineer license, field experience testing and commissioning medium‑voltage equipment, and working knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA, and IEEE standards. • Understand power system studies such as short‑circuit, coordination, and arc flash • Use AutoCAD and/or MicroStation • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally • Apply knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA, IEEE standards
