Commercial drivers handle pick‑up of containers that may exceed 1,000 lb, navigating high‑traffic roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots, and must execute skilled backing maneuvers. They communicate customer requests, dump receptacles cleanly, follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist fellow drivers as needed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks in compliance with WM safety, OSHA, DOT, and all legal regulations. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions immediately. • Participate in all required trainings, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to optimize route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests to dispatch and ensure clean disposal of receptacles. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day paperwork, and assist other drivers when needed. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching as required.
