About the Role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager by handling daily operations and financial functions of a housing community, ensuring cash flow, overseeing personnel, leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management. Key duties include posting and reconciling resident payments, monitoring delinquent accounts, completing month‑end close procedures, supervising staff, implementing leasing and marketing strategies, addressing resident concerns, and maintaining property appearance through inspections and timely repairs. • Accurately post all resident payments and reconcile daily accounts receivable. • Track and collect delinquent rent, issue late notices, and coordinate eviction processes. • Perform end‑of‑month closings and prepare financial performance reports. • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate onsite staff to ensure compliance with company standards. • Conduct regular property inspections and oversee timely maintenance and repairs. • Drive leasing efforts: market vacancies, show units, process applications, and sign leases. • Develop and execute resident retention initiatives such as events and newsletters. • Manage vendor contracts, obtain competitive bids, and control operating expenses. • Maintain compliance with Fair Housing, OSHA, and company policies.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma (a bachelor’s degree is preferred), 1‑2 years of housing‑industry experience, basic computer and on‑site software skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations.
