About the Role

The GMP Operations Cleaning Supervisor (3rd shift) works on‑site in Oceanside, CA, overseeing the sanitization of controlled GMP areas for biopharmaceutical manufacturing, ensuring compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and quality standards. This full‑time, exempt, bonus‑eligible position manages a union crew of 8‑18 staff, coordinates cleaning schedules with manufacturing, GMP Operations, and Quality teams, and maintains accurate documentation and supply inventories. • Supervise a union cleaning crew of 8‑18 staff and ensure adherence to SOPs and cGMP standards. • Train new employees on sanitization procedures and provide refresher training as needed. • Review, verify, and archive cleaning logs and GMP documentation to maintain accurate records. • Manage disinfectant rotation and confirm correct products are used for each cleaning task. • Oversee daily waste disposal from GMP manufacturing areas. • Ensure sufficient sanitization supplies are stocked and organized. • Coordinate cleaning schedules with Manufacturing, GMP Operations, and Quality teams. • Perform cleaning activities using ceiling, wall, and floor mops and wipers in controlled environments. • Act as a backup supervisor and perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

The role requires strict adherence to safety and gowning protocols, the ability to perform cleaning tasks, train new staff, and act as a backup supervisor, with occasional weekend, holiday, and off‑shift work. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team; prior GMP cleaning experience is a plus but not required. • Communicate clearly in English (bilingual a plus) and deliver excellent internal/external customer service. • Demonstrate knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and safety regulations with strong attention to detail. • Meet physical demands: extended standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and wearing full cleanroom gowning.
