About the Role

The incumbent will lead, direct, and advise on all matters related to project risk, acting as the trusted subject‑matter expert on insurance and contractual risks, risk exposure identification, and insurance placement and sales to secure optimal coverage. • Serve as trusted subject matter expert to clients for insurance regulatory and compliance guidance. • Participate in project risk assessment process and review and approve insurance placement within business proposals. • Oversee development of insurance placement strategy for project‑specific placements and ensure broker adherence. • Manage unique and ad‑hoc project insurance placements, delivering best‑in‑class and competitively priced programs. • Direct premium plan targets to maximize utilization of CCIP, Builders Risk, SDI, and other programs, collaborating with business development teams. • Provide project risk guidance in internal contract and bid review committees regarding insurance needs and coverage. • Develop and facilitate technical insurance and project risk training, creating a risk management training portfolio for staff. • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of insurance regulations.

The role is based in the Headquarters division with a project location in New York, NY 10001, USA. It requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and is classified as a regular, experienced position. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and will be compensated on a salaried exempt basis. The position can be performed from any U.S. company office, offering both office and remote work, with travel as needed. Physical demands include frequent computer use, sitting, climbing, balancing, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, as well as mobility to travel short and long distances. Employees may work on‑site at construction locations, office settings, or remote venues, with reasonable accommodations provided as required. The work environment is primarily office or remote, with occasional exposure to construction sites where noise levels can be moderate to loud and hazards such as moving machinery, fumes, and electrical shock exist. Employees must comply with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws. • Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field, plus minimum 10 years of insurance experience in construction (or equivalent combination). • Insurance consultant license (desired). • Brokerage and/or insurance company experience (desired). • CPCU, ARM, or similar insurance designation (preferred). • Construction industry risk management experience (desired). • Strong understanding of contract and insurance document interpretation. • Executive‑level advisory and influencing skills. • Ability to build engaging partnerships through trust, teamwork, and direct communication. • Advanced executive‑level presentation skills, tailoring communications for technical and non‑technical audiences. • Advanced project leadership skills, managing concurrent complex projects to successful completion. • Proficiency in processing data into actionable information and presenting solutions. • Leadership and organizational management capabilities. • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, and insurance‑based risk management information systems. • Willingness to travel regularly by air, train, vehicle, including international travel as needed.

Benefits
