About the Role

The Sales Representative provides sales coverage to an assigned sub‑region or metro area, focusing on wholesale distributor branches and small‑to‑mid‑medium contractor accounts. The role implements sales and marketing strategies, promotions, and product demonstrations at contractor locations and wholesaler sites, including counter‑days and point‑of‑purchase displays, and drives contractor sales strategies to achieve results. The representative is responsible for onboarding new products to wholesale branches, conducting trainings, demonstrations, trade shows, and managing leads. Daily activities include updating CRM/SAP, tracking opportunities, scheduling calls, ranking contractors, and managing loaner‑tool distribution while supporting cross‑functional teams and promoting EDI/VMI adoption. The role requires maintaining monthly sales reports, identifying business opportunities, reporting trends, and increasing market growth for contractors and distributors. Accurate reporting, metric tracking, and achievement of regional and corporate objectives are essential, along with occasional additional duties. • Onboard and introduce new products to assigned wholesale distributor branches. • Conduct product trainings, demonstrations, counter‑days, and trade shows. • Prioritize and follow up on leads generated from trade shows and other sources. • Update and utilize CRM/SAP Mobile Sales daily activity calendars to track opportunities and sales calls. • Manage and track distribution of loaner tools. • Support cross‑functional teams and promote EDI and VMI adoption by distributors. • Execute regional and corporate sales objectives. • Maintain monthly sales reports, identify business opportunities, and report on trends and new products. • Drive market growth for contractors and distributors. • Secure new business relationships and support existing customers. • Ensure accurate reporting and metric maintenance.

What You Bring

Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. They must forecast buying patterns, understand contractor and wholesaler needs, and be proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, and CRM systems. A college degree is preferred along with at least two years of product‑sales experience; travel up to 80 % (including 20 % overnight) is expected. Equivalent education‑experience combinations are considered. • Strong interpersonal, customer‑service, organizational, and relationship‑building skills. • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and public‑speaking communication abilities. • Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as a team player. • Ability to interpret and forecast changes in contractor and wholesaler buying patterns. • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP, and CRM systems. • College degree strongly preferred. • Minimum two years of product‑sales experience. • Willingness to travel up to 80 % (≈20 % overnight).

Compensation includes a base salary of CAD 71,000‑80,000 plus a discretionary annual bonus.
