CDL Truck Driver - Home Daily, 401K, PTO
Operate heavy-duty trucks to collect and transport waste/recyclables, performing pickups and deliveries.
Job Highlights
About the Role
Commercial, residential and roll‑off drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with lift attachments to transport waste or recyclable containers to disposal, transfer or recycling facilities. Drivers must navigate high‑traffic roads, alleyways, driveways and tight industrial sites, often performing skilled backing maneuvers and handling loads exceeding 1,000 pounds. • Operate vehicles in compliance with WM safety policies, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests and ensure each receptacle is emptied and the site left clean. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day paperwork, and assist fellow drivers as needed.

What You Bring
• Minimum one year driving a CDL‑required vehicle or recent military driving experience (within 7 years). • Age 18 or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada. • Hold a Class A or Class B CDL with air‑brake endorsement. • Preferred: High school diploma or GED. • Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, pull, crouch, reach, handle, sit, talk and hear while performing duties.
