What You Bring
The current opening is for a General Maintenance Technician with a national maintenance and construction firm. The role involves full‑time commercial construction projects that may require travel across the United States, including overnight assignments and on‑call overtime as needed. Applicants must have at least three years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance, possess basic construction hand tools, and obtain OSHA 10‑hour certification within three months of hire (employer‑paid). • Proficient in carpentry: partition framing, metal/wood studs, basic cabinetry, countertops, doors and windows installation. • Skilled in interior and exterior painting. • Experienced installing VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base flooring. • Basic plumbing knowledge: replace/install sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage or water lines (licensed plumbers encouraged). • Basic electrical knowledge: replace/install light fixtures, switches, outlets, perform simple data connections and diagnose minor electrical issues (licensed electricians encouraged). • Basic HVAC knowledge: refrigeration and preventive maintenance service calls. • Utilize basic computer skills for documentation and reporting. • Available for overtime, on‑call support, and overnight travel nationwide.
