About the Role
The role is a Debt Analyst on JLL’s Capital Markets team, responsible for placement of debt and equity for commercial real estate transactions across diverse property types and markets. The position offers exposure to the full transaction lifecycle, from underwriting and market research to closing and client relationship management, and provides opportunities to develop sophisticated financial modeling skills and create compelling offering memorandums. • Create comprehensive debt and equity offering memorandums with market research, financial modeling, and executive summaries • Develop and execute complex financial models using market data and JLL resources for accurate underwriting • Manage due diligence, marketing, and closing activities while coordinating with multiple stakeholders • Communicate regularly with producers, market participants, and clients to ensure smooth transaction progression • Analyze marketing feedback and recommend strategies to optimize client business plans and capital structures • Use databases to identify market data, conduct trend analysis, and prepare client presentations and pitch materials • Review and interpret real estate documentation (leases, loan documents, appraisals) to identify issues and provide guidance

The company does not sponsor visas; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 1–3 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in mortgage banking or commercial real estate • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling; strong skills in Outlook and Word • Strong organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing, and communication abilities with client‑facing experience • Excellent research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations • Self‑motivated team player with effective time‑management to handle multiple deadlines • Ability to communicate analytical and marketing data effectively in written form for diverse audiences • Experience with Argus Enterprise or other commercial real estate financial modeling software • Database management and advanced data analysis capabilities • Exposure to commercial real estate transactions, underwriting, or capital markets activities • Knowledge of property types, market fundamentals, and financing structures • Experience in client relationship management or business development • Familiarity with real estate legal documentation and due diligence processes

Benefits
The position is based on‑site in San Francisco, CA, with an estimated compensation range of $75,000–$100,000 per year.
