About the Role
The Pipefitter Helper works under direct supervision to support skilled pipefitters in planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of various piping systems. The role involves adhering to plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards while learning safety hazards and proper use of tools. Work may take place in plant operations or construction job sites. Key duties include maintaining a clean work area, restocking supplies, assisting with material handling, performing minor maintenance, and using hand and power tools to install pipe hangers, brackets, and other components. The helper also helps other crafts as needed and learns to read plans and specifications. • Clean work area and restock supplies as needed • Assist pipefitter with lifting, positioning, and securing materials • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities • Use hand and power tools to install piping, hangers, and brackets • Cut or drill holes and perform routine installation duties • Load, transport, unload, and supply pipefitter with materials and equipment • Assist other craft workers when required • Operate electric, gas, and pneumatic tools with proper training • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds • Work in confined spaces and exposure to heat, cold, rain, etc. • Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintain detail‑orientation

What You Bring
The position requires physical stamina to lift up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), perform repetitive hand and arm motions, climb ladders and scaffolds, and work in varied conditions such as uneven terrain, confined spaces, and adverse weather.
