About the Role

Plan, lay‑out and perform all types of structural steel erection and fabrication work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time. • Inspect subordinates' work, ensure accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications, explain deficiencies and take corrective action. • Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds. • Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively at all times. • Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information are available for the work. • Read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards and effectively use all trade tools and equipment. • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend. • Use telephone, computer, email or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with customers or vendors. • Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. • Occasionally lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lb.

What You Bring

• Maintain high proficiency in all related trade mathematics. • Minimum experience: three years (Level I), four years (Level II), five years (Level III) or six+ years (Senior) in industrial/commercial construction with in‑depth ironworker trade knowledge. • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required personal protective equipment such as steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc. • Frequently reach above shoulder height and below the waist. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
