About the Role

The position provides advanced technical and engineering problem‑solving support for nuclear plant operations, acting as a resource and technical expert for engineers. The incumbent makes technical decisions, applies deep functional‑discipline knowledge, and ensures compliance with industry codes and regulations. Core duties include delivering technical expertise for engineering analyses and programs, consulting as a subject‑matter expert to resolve equipment and system issues, and leading short‑ and long‑term initiatives that affect site operations. The role also requires independent research, reviews, studies, and recommendation of equipment or design improvements to enhance performance, reduce cost, and meet regulatory changes. Additional responsibilities may involve emergency response, department coverage, and outage support. • Provide in‑depth technical expertise for engineering analysis, program development, and implementation. • Serve as subject‑matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. • Lead short‑term and long‑term engineering initiatives impacting nuclear plant operations. • Conduct independent research, reviews, and studies to support technical projects. • Recommend equipment, design concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance. • Participate in emergency response, department duty coverage, and outage support activities. • Maintain required access levels and pass requisite medical examinations.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related science (or a Professional Engineer license), five years of engineering experience with at least one year in a nuclear power plant, and the ability to meet access and medical requirements. Preferred qualifications include supervisory or managerial experience, Professional Engineer registration, and an advanced technical degree or related coursework. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science (or PE license) with at least 5 years of experience, including 1 year in nuclear power. • Preferred: supervisory/managerial experience, Professional Engineer registration, advanced technical degree or coursework.
