CNC Gear Tooth & Spline Milling Machinist 2nd Shift

About the Role

The Euclid facility has about 300 employees and leads in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of aerospace fuel pumping components, systems and services to global aftermarket and OEM markets. The role involves setting up and operating various gear tooth and spline generating machines to produce internal and external gear and spline configurations to precision tolerances, performing visual and dimensional inspections, maintaining accurate documentation per ANSI Y14-5 and the certified operator program, and assisting other operators with proper procedures. Additional duties include housekeeping, sub‑assembly work, and detailed setup tasks such as balancing wheels, dressing forms with CNC dressers, assembling and aligning holding devices, establishing gear ratios, and coordinating all phases to achieve specified size, form, and finish. The technician will set up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC hobbers, shapers, vertical broaching machines, and CNC mills, cut intricate contours, volutes, and splines, observe and correct machines, fixtures, tooling, and indexing mechanisms, and perform analysis and adjustments revealed by gear‑checking equipment. Responsibilities also cover obtaining sketches and tooling, changing fixtures, installing appropriate gears, using micrometers and gear checkers, inspecting tool cutters, maintaining tool data reports, inspecting finished parts, deburring, straightening edges, repairing rejected parts, maintaining lot‑control traceability, logging entries, handling NCRs, moving material, performing minor machine maintenance, and complying with SPC requirements.

What You Bring

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, residence within 50 mi of the work location, ITAR compliance (U.S. person), certification as an operator within 40 days, passing an ATC vision test, and at least five years of experience with milling machines or gear‑generating equipment, including three years of CNC machining. • High school diploma or GED required. • Must reside within 50 mi of the work location; no relocation assistance provided. • Must be a U.S. person per ITAR and become a certified operator within 40 days. • Pass ATC vision test. • Minimum 5 years experience with milling or gear‑generating equipment; at least 3 years CNC experience.
