What You Bring
The position requires a certified welder capable of working on multi‑process pipe and proficient in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding techniques, with possible X‑ray inspection responsibilities. The welder will lay out, align, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings, and pipe according to blueprints and metallurgical specifications. The role involves physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and handling materials up to 35 lb, as well as occasional climbing, balancing, and frequent stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Safety is paramount, requiring respiratory protection, adherence to project rules, and passing performance tests to maintain certification. Candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant field experience. The job relies on instruction and established guidelines, with work performed under immediate supervision and limited independent judgment, reporting to a supervisor or manager. • Plan layouts, assemblies, and welding using knowledge of geometry and metal properties. • Bolt, clamp, and weld metal components of piping systems, plates, and structural shapes. • May require a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
