About the Role

In this role you will oversee troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of advanced fire alarm, access control, and communications systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will plan and execute complex installations and upgrades, serve as the primary technical resource for high‑level system design, and work with project managers to keep schedules on track. Additionally, you will help establish best practices for documentation, ensure code compliance, coordinate with other departments, and provide training for junior staff and customers. • Lead and mentor a team of technicians in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining advanced fire alarm, access control, and communications systems. • Plan, schedule, and execute complex fire alarm installations, upgrades, and integrations while ensuring quality and safety standards. • Serve as the primary technical resource for high‑level troubleshooting and system design, providing guidance to customers and team members. • Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain project schedules and allocate resources effectively. • Develop and implement best practices for documentation, reporting, and compliance with fire safety codes. • Coordinate with cross‑functional departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration and customer satisfaction. • Conduct training sessions for junior technicians and customer personnel on fire protection systems. • Interpret and design complex blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.

What You Bring

As a leader in the fire protection industry, we are seeking an experienced Fire Install Technician to drive installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts. In this role you will oversee complex fire safety systems, lead a team of technicians, and ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Our comprehensive training program provides leadership development, advanced technical training, and continuous learning opportunities. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and extensive experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound, and communications systems. The role requires strong abilities to interpret complex blueprints, solid knowledge of fire protection codes, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership in team and project management. Physical requirements include the ability to lift equipment up to 75 lb, work in confined spaces, and maintain a valid driver’s license and Texas fire alarm license; advanced education and certifications are preferred. • Require 7+ years of experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound, and communications systems. • Possess strong knowledge of fire protection codes and conduct code compliance inspections. • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills and outstanding customer service. • Hold a valid driver’s license, Texas fire alarm license, and ability to lift up to 75 lb and work in confined spaces. • Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree, NICET Level II or higher, and certifications in fire protection or advanced fire safety technologies.
