About the Role
The Project Director will be accountable for integrating engineering, construction, digital, regulatory, procurement and operations into a coherent delivery framework. Responsibilities span governance, programme delivery, financial management, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, digital enablement and stakeholder engagement. • Own and defend the business case, Capex roadmap, and value‑creation strategy at ExCom and Board level. • Drive masterplanning, site footprint, technology and digital architecture decisions. • Ensure programme governance aligns with global operations, supply‑chain and sustainability strategies. • Lead cross‑functional workstreams across engineering, construction, utilities, digital manufacturing, HSE and operations, delivering integrated design‑to‑start‑up execution. • Manage a €100M+ CAPEX budget, control costs and cashflow, and lead contracting strategies and value‑engineering negotiations. • Oversee regulatory, safety and quality compliance, including HAZOP/HAZID, design reviews and ESG commitments. • Design the future operating model, mobilise the workforce and implement structured start‑up, training and SOPs. • Integrate MES, automation, data, cybersecurity and ERP systems, embedding advanced analytics and predictive maintenance. • Manage stakeholder and external engagement, handling communication, change management and relationships with regulators, authorities and communities.

What You Bring
Candidates need 15+ years of experience delivering large‑scale capital programmes (€50M‑200M) in FMCG or related process industries, strong expertise in EPC/EPCm models, digital manufacturing platforms and contract strategy, and proven leadership at Board and ExCom level. The role also requires financial and commercial acumen, ability to manage complex supplier ecosystems and to build and scale operations teams. • 15+ years delivering €50M‑200M capital programmes in FMCG or related process industries. • Proven expertise in EPC/EPCm delivery models, multi‑vendor environments and dispute avoidance. • Strong knowledge of digital manufacturing platforms (MES, automation, data and control systems).
