About the Role
The Team Lead delivers manufacturing expertise, support, and direction within the assigned area. Acting as a bridge to the Supervisor, the lead coordinates, facilitates, and motivates employees to meet or exceed High-5 metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, lean initiatives, and efficiency. This role models safety, ethical standards, attendance, urgency, teamwork, quality assurance, standard work, 5S, product knowledge, and professional communication. The lead is responsible for achieving departmental safety objectives and maintaining a clean, organized work area in compliance with 5S standards. Work assignments are received from the supervisor, prioritized by order urgency, and daily production goals are communicated to the functional team. The lead works closely with manufacturing staff to ensure timely execution of customer orders, especially the most urgent ones, while providing guidance on production, safety, and quality expectations. Training and skill development are supported through on-the-job coaching and specialized skills sessions. Quality performance is continuously monitored, with the lead clarifying standards and promoting quality objectives among employees. Participation in continuous-improvement activities, such as Kaizen events and 5S initiatives, helps drive departmental and plant goals. The lead attends accountability and production meetings, measures individual and team performance, and performs data entry and other automated posting tasks using business systems. Production metrics—including cycle time, green-light time, parts output, and material utilization—are collected and evaluated to inform decisions. • Lead manufacturing team to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and lean goals. • Maintain 5S standards and ensure a clean, organized work environment. • Prioritize work orders by urgency and communicate daily production targets. • Coach and train employees on skills, on-the-job learning, and quality standards. • Monitor product quality and reinforce adherence to quality objectives. • Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen events and 5S activities. • Track and report team performance, completing data entry and supporting automated systems. • Analyze production metrics such as cycle time, parts output, and material utilization.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess 2-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Required skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office, basic electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and apply technical documents such as schematics and blueprints. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility; relocation assistance is not offered. Experience leading projects, conducting root-cause analysis, and solving problems is also required. • Required: high school diploma, 2‑5 years manufacturing leadership, MS Office proficiency, basic electrical/mechanical knowledge, ability to read schematics/blueprints. • Must reside within 50 miles of El Paso, TX; no relocation provided.
