About the Role

The QA Inspector I at Viega, located in McPherson, KS (Job‑ID 16930), is tasked with performing quality inspections of manufactured products to ensure they meet the company’s regulations and standards. The role includes conducting dimensional and cosmetic inspections, entering data into the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) software using Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems, measuring product dimensions with tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers, and inspecting incoming raw materials through visual checks and the Incoming Goods Control (IGC) module. Inspection results are recorded, and detailed reports are generated both on paper and electronically; the inspector maintains files, marks items with grades and acceptance status, and communicates non‑conformance issues to the appropriate personnel. Additional duties involve attending required meetings, keeping the work area clean, and performing other related tasks as assigned. • Perform dimensional and cosmetic quality inspections of manufactured products. • Enter inspection data into CAQ software using SPC systems. • Measure product dimensions with calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc. • Visually inspect incoming raw materials using the IGC module. • Record inspection data such as weights, temperatures, grades, and moisture content. • Document inspection results in written reports and electronic systems. • Mark items with grade, acceptance, or rejection status. • Report non‑conformance issues to appropriate personnel. • Attend required meetings and maintain a clean work environment. • Organize, prioritize, and manage workload efficiently. • Provide superior service with a positive attitude and teamwork.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access, detail‑oriented, able to communicate effectively at all levels, multitask while maintaining high quality, and able to organize, prioritize and deliver superior service. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, though comparable combinations of education and experience may be considered. • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access for data management. • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing across all organization levels. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (or equivalent education/experience).

Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 hourly based on factors such as education, experience, and location, and includes eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
