About the Role

In this role, the manager will conduct quantitative and qualitative economic analyses, evaluate policies and industry sectors, and develop funding, financing, and governance strategies that support economic development, decarbonization, resilience, real‑estate, and housing initiatives. The position also involves leading multi‑disciplinary project teams, mentoring staff, and ensuring high‑quality, on‑time deliverables. Typical work includes economic and fiscal impact studies of land‑use changes, autonomous vehicle adoption, renewable energy projects, and transit value‑capture programs, as well as financing strategies for regional resilience and clean‑energy workforce development. • Lead quantitative and qualitative economic analyses for development, sustainability, and resilience projects • Research and recommend governance, funding, and financing strategies, including value capture mechanisms • Manage and mentor multi‑disciplinary project teams to ensure quality and timely delivery • Participate in business development by responding to RFPs, preparing proposals, and representing the practice • Conduct economic and fiscal impact studies for land‑use changes, autonomous vehicles, renewable energy, and transit systems • Develop financing and governance plans for regional resilience and clean‑energy initiatives • Perform workforce development and labor force analysis for urban economies

What You Bring

Candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in economics, urban planning, public policy, business, real estate, or a related field, with six years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include eight or more years in planning or economics consulting, a master’s degree, strong technical skills in Excel, ArcGIS, and data‑analysis tools, and a proven record of business development and client engagement. • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6+ years of relevant experience • Preferred: 8+ years in planning/economics consulting, Master’s degree, strong Excel, ArcGIS, and R/Python skills
