About the Role
The Technical Director – Energy will expand the India team’s headcount and provide senior technical leadership for Energy Transition and Renewable Energy projects. The role demands deep knowledge of high‑voltage systems, hybrid generation, BESS, green hydrogen and related technologies, as well as the ability to earn the trust of global stakeholders. Key duties include creating technical approaches for complex client challenges, independently managing projects with minimal oversight, and delivering technical advisory services for hybrid generation systems. The director must ensure high compliance with quality and safety standards, foster communication between business units and support functions, and champion the adoption of new technologies. • Develop technical approaches for complex Energy Transition and Renewable Energy projects • Lead and grow a team of 50+ design professionals in India • Provide technical advisory services for hybrid generation systems with BESS • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards across all project delivery • Oversee adoption of new technology solutions and maintain professional society affiliations • Report regularly to senior management on performance, issues, and improvement suggestions • Manage global EHV, MV, LV substation and transmission line design projects across multiple regions • Maintain business continuity strategy and improve communication between business units and support functions

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Electrical, Power Systems or a related field and possess 15‑20 years of experience designing EHV, MV, LV substations and transmission lines for global consultancies or utilities. Experience leading teams of 50+ engineers, familiarity with power system study software, and chartered membership in professional societies such as IET or IEEE are highly desirable. • Hold chartered or fellowship status with IET, IEEE, or equivalent professional bodies
